I’m not wanting to buy that because I honestly don’t like pea soup. But seriously, I’m just someone who believes it’s good to exercise a reasonable amount of proactive this to always be prepared. Alright, and before we get started, we’re actually starting a new tradition on the show by reading my favorite reviews about Let’s Eat Grandma, our resume service, Ahmed on Trustpilot says overall exceeded my expectations. Hugo Kelly Foy outstanding personality and knowledgeable person positive and comfortable to work with. She helped me throughout and even drew my attention to stuff I didn’t think about Kelly, and Let’s Eat, Grandma, thank you so much. And I think that this episode really speaks to the times and the general sentiment of what people are feeling right now. It is July 2022. I don’t know if you’re going to listen to this episode, like a year in the future. But this is where we’re at right now. And this is where things may even be in the future. So what do we mean about recession proofing your resume? Now, clearly, I’m not implying that your resume can stop a recession from happening. I’m not even saying that you can have 100% job security every single day for the rest of your life. If you just have a good resume, that would be a lie. But I am saying that your resume can be that one tool in your arsenal that makes you more resilient, more over the things that you do to build your resume will actually make you stronger. In fact, it may not be the tool itself. It’s the mentality and the attitude that you bring to the table when crafting this document, it is going to be okay. And here I’d like to highlight three steps that you can take to recession proof your resume. Step one, get organized. Most people when I ask them about their resume, they have to dust off all the cobwebs from a floppy disk before slipping it into their windows 2000 desktop, are you a Gen Z are listening and have never used a floppy disk? Well, that’s a good thing. But seriously, most people couldn’t even tell you where the resume is, or the last experience that was mentioned on it. And the benefit of working on your resume again, is even if you have a job, you’ll have more confidence and clarity in what you’re doing right now.
